YOUNG LAWYERS RAISE $20,000 FOR BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (March 21, 2007) – The Young Lawyers Section (YLS) of the Jacksonville Bar Association held its 3rd Annual ‘Tee It Up’ for charity golf tournament on March 15, 2007 to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Florida.
Members of the business and legal community partnered with YLS to help raise over $20,000.00 for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
The event was held at the Ocean Course at Ponte Vedra Inn & Club. The Low Gross Winner of the Tournament was Team Rogers Towers – Troy K. Smith, Rene Fix, Kevin Rorabaugh, and Bill Dahlenburg. The 2nd Low Gross Winner was Team Liles, Gavin, Costantino, & George - David Wilder, Gene Page, Robert George, Rutledge Liles. An awards ceremony and reception was provided for volunteers and participants at the end of the tournament.
The ‘Tee It Up’ tournament also recently won the 2007 Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Outstanding Public Service Project.

The Jacksonville Bar Association Young Lawyers Section ("JBA/YLS") is composed of area young lawyers who are 35-years-old or younger, or who have been practicing law less than five years. The JBA/YLS has a large and enthusiastic membership and a very active and committed Board of Governors. JBA/YLS is dedicated to providing a diverse array of programs and projects designed to benefit young lawyers, all members of the bar, and the community.
